LAST NIGHT TOGETHER

After searching for them in vain for the whole day, I had almost given up hope when suddenly a small head appeared out of the tall grass. It was the mother Caracal. She looked around and then called her cub. He rapidly responded and joined her for what I would later find out, would be their last night together before she left him to fend for himself.
