A rare and close encounter with Amboseli’s greatest and most elusive tusker at the moment, the legendary x004. A very unpredictable and at times aggressive Elephant, having him this close was a thrilling experience, an unforgettable feeling. I could feel my fingers shaking as I was clicking this series of portraits, stretching out as low as I could as he watched over me, unexpectedly calm and tolerant of me.
