ELEPHANTS’ LANDSCAPE

US$18,800.00

Amboseli, 2012

I still remember this moment vividly. As the clouds filled the Amboseli sky and covered Mt Kilimanjaro one mid morning, I parked on the side of the road to have a quick breakfast. I was on the main Elephants’ path but when I stopped there were no Elephants in sight. Suddenly I started to see a cloud of dust from among the Acacias in the distance. Eventually a group of Elephants emerged, led by the most magnificent matriarch I had ever seen, with long tusks pointing straight down to the ground. Slowly but relentlessly they came closer and closer to where I was, with Theodora flapping her ears and her tiny calf trotting by her side.
