Below are the safaris which Federico leads almost every year. Please add your name to the waitlist if you want to be informed when the next safari is open for booking. Our safaris are for small groups of six guests over two vehicles. Every photographer has a full row of seats.
All safaris include exclusive live zoom sessions with Federico before and after.
SERENGETI calving and kopjes
Generally timed between February and March, this safari takes to the endless short-grass plains of the southern Serengeti to see the great migration and the abundance of predators that come with it in extraordinary setting of kopjes and acacia woodlands. This safari includes the Ngorongoro Crater, the Ndutu area and the Serengeti NP.
WALK THE EARTH
Following on the footsteps of Federico’s latest book focusing on the last great tuskers, this safari will take you across south-eastern Kenya on the trails of the Elephants. Generally happening in September or October, this safari is strictly for Elephant lovers who are keen to spend time with them and to photograph some of the most magnificent tuskers who still roam the African wilderness. Also included is a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Ithumba reintegration unit.
ENCHANTED WOODLANDS
Happening generally in September, this safari focuses on the Lower Zambezi river and its magnificent floodplains in both Mana Pools NP in Zimbabwe and Lower Zambezi NP in Zambia. A heaven for predators such as Wild Dogs, Lions, Leopards and elephants in extraordinary settings. Often includes a stop at Matusadona NP, on the shores of lake Kariba.
KENYA WILDERNESS
Timed around the dry season, this safari takes us to discover some of Kenya’s most extraordinary and unique locations. Laikipia in search of the black Leopards and the popular photographic hides in the southern Kenya Rift Valley. Aerial photography over the soda lakes are also featured.
DESERT WILDLIFE
An extraordinary journey into the dramatic desert landscapes of the Namib-desert and the Skeleton coast in search for Elephants, Lions, Giraffes and other wildlife adapted to survive in this harsh environment. Heavily focusing on images of wildlife in their habitat, this trip also includes the Sossusvlei. Suited for people who are fit to walk in the desert.
SERENGETI
As Federico’s current favorite location to photograph big cats, we love to offer trips to the Serengeti in other seasons besides the February-March timeframe. During the dry season from July to October we will track the great migration, with its extraordinary river crossings. Predators on kopjes are a constant focus and highlight here.
