Edwin

Edwin is the second largest tusker in the Mara region after Fred. He was born around 1985. His tusks are beautifully symmetrical and pointing down to the ground. A very relaxed bull, now collared by the Mara Elephant Project. Despite having been in his area many times in the past couple of years, I never managed to see him recently. My only sighting dates back to June 2018, when he wasn’t collared yet. His tusks have grown in the meantime and the pattern of notches in the ears has changed slightly. In this picture he has a hole on the right ear which has now become a notch.
