Photographic Highlights
Into the life of Africa’s most charismatic cats. We’ll try to capture images of the most charismatic cats of Africa in dramatic lighting and conditions. We’ll also witness the great migration travelling across the ecosystem and we’ll look for the holy grail of wildlife, the black Leopard.
Photographic coaching
On this safari you’ll develop your photographic vision in the field, refine your craft, improve your photography and post-processing skills for color and black and white imagery, and hopefully end up with a strong portfolio of African wildlife images. Many of my past guests have been awarded with images taken on safari with me and some have become professional photographers themselves.
Starting from 2024, my safaris will be master classes from the field to online classes before and after the end of the tour.
SAFARI LOCATIONS
LAIKIPIA WILDERNESS
Wild Dogs
A chance to see these rare and hard to see these predators and follow them hunting
Melanistic Leopard
Black Leopards have been sometimes seen in this area, among their spotted relatives. We’ll try our luck both in night drives and daytime
MAASAI MARA NR
Big Cats behaviour
The Mara is one of Africa’s best places to photograph big cats behaviours in the glorious setting of the iconic golden plains. Black maned Lions, Leopards active throughout the day, Cheetahs racing across the savannah.
And don’t forget the small cats as well. Servals in particular are often seen here and many of them are quite tame. All other wildlife also abounds here.
MARA TRIANGLE
The Great Migration
One of nature’s most fascinating spectacles, hundreds of thousands of Wildebeests filling up the plains and plunging into the water of the Mara River, while trying to reach the pastures on the other side. Breathtaking moments and dramatic photographic possibilities here.
Also a great place to see the Black Rhinos
