Remembering Leopards
Eigth book in the series includes one of my images
Really proud to be supporting Margot Raggett’s extraordinary “Remembering Wildlife” series once more. Last year I wasn’t able to support her “Remembering Bears” book, as bears don’t live in Africa, but this year the series is back in Africa with one of my very favourite animals, Leopards. Leopards are one fo the most fascinating creatures in the wild, always living in semi-seclusion, making each sighting a blessing. I have followed many Leopards extensively throughout their lives in my years in the Mara, and recently I have been particularly thrilled to follow the adventures of a unique melanistic female Leopard in the wilderness of Laikipia, the magnificent Giza Murembo. I don’t know yet which image of mine will be used in the book as the selection process is still on-going.
Kickstarter campaign Live from April 1st 2023
This will be the 8th book in the groundbreaking Remembering Wildlife series which has so far sold more than 35,000 copies worldwide and raised more than £1m GBP ($1.3m USD) for conservation. The aim of the creators is to make the most beautiful book ever seen on the featured species and to use that to not only raise awareness of conservation issues but also, more importantly, to raise funds for organisations working for its protection. The Kickstarter to fund this year’s book goes live at 9am UK (BST) on Saturday 1st April and there, you can pre-order the book (as well as grab many other rewards) to give the producers the cashflow to make it. About the Series
“Remembering Leopards” is the eight volume in the “Remembering Wildlife” series. My images have been featured in almost all the books in the series, with the exception of “Remembering Great Apes” and “Remembering Bears”. Two books in the series feature my images on the cover, “Remembering Elephants”, the very first book in the series, and “Remembering Lions”.
Please visit the website https://rememberingwildlife.com/ to learn more about the series and order your copies if you haven’t done so yet.
The books include images from the most renowned wildlife photographers in the world, portraying an extraordinary selection of images of each species. The profits from the books are entirely donated to charities involved in the conservation of each species.
